The tiny and small house movement can be found in places all over the country and encompassing a wide demographic. 20-somethings are choosing to limit their living expenses and pay off their massive student loan debt, and retirees looking to spend more time living outside their home.

Some tiny homes house are built with found material and are built with budgets of under 20k. Other tiny homes are built with no expense spared and can cost well over 100k.

Many tiny homes are built on on trailers with wheels so they can be easily moved from location to location. Other tiny homes are more permanent residences and are built onsite with a standard foundation. Homes built on trailers do not have to conform to local building standards, but they do need to adhere to RV building codes. Homes build on traditional foundations are inspected to meet local building codes.

Inside these tiny homes you will find a fully functioning kitchen, bathroom, living space, and sleeping area. Spaces are utilized for maximum efficiency and storage.
